California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) Compliance

Introduction: At https://bizintel.today, we prioritize a user-first approach, emphasizing transparency and control over ad experiences. The following CPRA compliance measures have been devised to empower publishers in effectively managing data processing settings within AdSense, aligning seamlessly with the privacy laws of the designated US states.

1. User Information Protection: We affirm our commitment to user information protection by abstaining from the sale of personal data. Our personalized advertising policies strictly prohibit the use of sensitive information, such as health, race, religion, or sexual orientation, for ad personalization.

2. GDPR Compliance: In acknowledgment of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the European Economic Area (EEA), we implemented crucial updates in May 2018 to aid publishers in achieving compliance.

3. Service Provider Terms: Effective January 1, 2023, we introduce service provider terms to complement existing data protection terms. These terms enhance user data protection for customers engaged in online contracts and updated platform contracts.

4. Restricted Data Processing (RDP) for Applicable US States: Publishers can enable RDP for traffic in specific US states through various methods:

a. Consent Management Platform (CMP):

  • Utilize Google’s consent management solutions to enable RDP for eligible web users in applicable US states via the Privacy & Messaging tab.

b. Publisher Ad Tags:

  • Activate RDP for select users through GPT and AdSense/Ad Exchange asynchronous ad tags. This is particularly useful for displaying “Do Not Sell My Personal Information” opt-out links.

c. IAB Tech Lab Framework:

  • Implement the IAB Tech Lab US Privacy String until Q1 2024. After this period, AdSense, AdMob, and Ad Manager will seamlessly support the Global Privacy Platform (GPP) for applicable US states.

d. Privacy & Messaging Settings:

  • Adjust CPRA settings in the AdSense UI to restrict data processing and display non-personalized ads to eligible users in all US states covered by privacy legislation.

Important Note: While the IAB intends to deprecate the US Privacy String by January 2024, AdSense will continue to support it for apps partners. Future SDK releases may deprecate this string. Publishers are encouraged to transition to the GPP string after its full support by AdSense, AdMob, and Ad Manager for US states.

These CPRA compliance guidelines are crafted to support publishers in effectively managing data processing settings and ensuring strict adherence to privacy laws in the specified US states.
